Mo Goes to School
Storytelling is a powerful educational tool. Sure, it is entertaining, but there is so much more . It is a powerful mechanism for learning and fosters a deep sense of connection and community. Mo has created performances and workshops for all grade levels as well as workshops to help teachers harness the power of storytelling in their own teaching.

Here We Go With Miss Mo!
Mo is not just a storyteller, she is an experienced teacher. She has worked as a teacher at the Junior High and High School levels, worked as a K-8 Librarian, and taught college writing. At every stage and in every classroom she has seen storytelling make magic. One of these experiences is sure to be a great fit for your school's needs.
PreK and Elementary Workshops
This is a crowd that gobbles up storytelling. But, storytelling is not just about entertainment. The performances create connections and learning how to tell stories builds memory, an understanding of the narrative arc, and confidence in front of others.
Yep, I even have stories for this crew. They may be getting taller, but middle school and junior high kids are still KIDS. They love the creative process of storytelling and are often less inhibited as we explore stories. Storytelling invites compassion and confidence, something this age groups needs dearly!
These workshops are specifically geared towards that older "I'm going to pretend I'm too cool for storytelling but really I love it" crowd. These workshops foster powerful conversations and can turn into effective writing workshops and assignments long after our time together. The performances open doors for conversation and these older students can create their own stories, unlocking their natural curiosity that sometimes they try to hide.
Humans, no matter the age, are wired for narratives. We learn better through stories. We connect better through stories. As a storyteller and educator, Mo helps teachers see practical ways to incorporate stories and the principles of storytelling into their classroom.
